In a momentous tribute to Tina Turner's unforgettable performance at the 1993 Grand Final, this year's NRL and NRLW Telstra Premiership Grand Final will feature a spectacular showcase by the cast of "TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL."
Commemorating the 30th anniversary of Tina Turner's iconic Grand Final appearance and honoring her enduring connection with the sport, the acclaimed musical's cast will revive Turner's legendary songs on the grandest stage in rugby league.
The production boasts a repertoire of iconic tunes, including classics such as "Simply The Best," "Nutbush," and "Proud Mary." "TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL" recounts the remarkable journey of Tina Turner's life and has earned an impressive 37 award nominations, including Best Musical at the Tony Awards and Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards.
Adding to the entertainment lineup for Grand Final day is Australian rock band, King Stingray. Hailing from the Northern Territory, this five-piece ensemble performs in both English and Yolŋu Matha languages.
Their captivating performance will kick off the NRLW Grand Final pre-game show and return to the stage in the lead-up to the NRL Grand Final, as reported by NRL.com.
