Cricket, often regarded as a way of life in India, boasts a rich history and an unparalleled fan following. It's no surprise that Indian cricket stadiums are held in high esteem by both players and spectators. Babar Azam, Pakistan's cricket captain and one of the brightest young talents in the sport, recently joined the chorus of those who admire the iconic cricket venues at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Babar's maiden experience at Indian cricket stadiums holds special significance due to the extended absence of bilateral series between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. The right-handed batsman couldn't contain his excitement about this unique opportunity to play in India, where he found every stadium to be distinct and filled with its own charm.

"We are here for the first time, and we do not get these opportunities a lot. Every stadium in India has a different vibe and a different feel. So, trying to enjoy that wherever we go," Babar Azam shared during a Star Sports interview.

Pakistan's Journey in ODI World Cup 2023

Pakistan's journey in the ODI World Cup 2023 has been marked by a mix of victories and challenges. They commenced their campaign with a convincing 81-run triumph against the Netherlands, demonstrating their strength in the tournament. Following this, they secured another notable win, defeating Sri Lanka by six wickets, further igniting their hopes of making a significant impact in the ongoing competition.

However, their encounter against arch-rivals India ended in a seven-wicket defeat. Pakistan's upcoming match is against the five-time World Champions, Australia, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 20. This upcoming clash holds great importance as Pakistan seeks to solidify its position in the competition and aims for World Cup glory.
