Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou recently dropped some hints regarding Bryan Gil's potential game time once he recovers from his injury. Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash against Liverpool, Postecoglou expressed confidence in Gil's ability to integrate into the team.

Gil, a 22-year-old talent, has been sidelined due to a groin injury since August, causing him to miss the start of the season. Unfortunately, this setback prevented him from showcasing his skills to the new Tottenham boss during preseason. Additionally, he couldn't participate in Tottenham's preseason tour of Australia, Thailand, and Singapore.

However, Postecoglou sought to dispel concerns about Gil's future playing time, emphasizing the value of having him in the squad. Postecoglou stated, "He's been a bit unfortunate in that pretty much since the start of preseason he's had a couple of injuries that haven't allowed him to train with the team." Despite these setbacks, Postecoglou highlighted Gil's attributes and how they align with the team's tactical structure, saying, "He had a good year last year away from here and he certainly plays in a position where guys with his attributes can certainly fit into our structure."

With Ivan Perisic sidelined due to injury, Postecoglou noted that the team was down one player in the wide areas, making Gil's return even more valuable. He added, "It'll be good to see Bryan getting up to speed over the next couple of weeks, training with the team, and then, obviously with Ivan going down, we're one down in those wide areas, so having him at the club is certainly beneficial."
